TRA
Snow Brackets and MAGE Industries joined forces in 2004 to become
TRA-Mage. As a specialized manufacturer of high quality roofing
accessories, the founders of TRA Snow Brackets have been actively
engaged in optimizing roof protection for many years- developing
durable products for effective performance in extreme conditions.
You can prevent damage to gutters, penetration,
and valleys by using the snow retention for all roof types from
TRA-Mage and high quality tile roof accessories. Combining our
snow retention systems, ventilation tapes, flashings, and bird
stops provides a comprehensive product base for roofers, architects,
and builders who want roofing accessories that work! Through
years of extensive research, we have engineered products for
venting ridges and eaves, flashing walls, and trim-junctions
for tile roofs.
Our snow retention systems, for all roof types,
have been tested, engineered and designed from the sheathing
up. The result is a unique combination of products created from
the proven technology of years of experience on two continents.
TRA-Mage, Inc. is located in American Fork, Utah
and is a leading provider of advanced Snow Retention systems
and rooftop products for buildings in alpine areas. Our snow
brackets or snow guards and snow fences have gained international
attention, and have been selected by many builders and property
owners as an effective means of retaining snow on the roofs
of their buildings.
TRA-Mage
was founded by Terry Anderson and is the owner of Anderson Associates
Consulting. Through his work with Anderson Associates Consulting,
Terry began to research a solution to all of the common problems
he saw caused by sliding snow and ice on roofs. He traveled
to Europe to study how they successfully dealt with snow and
ice on roofs. From their example of using cold
roof systems and snow retention devices to keep the
snow on their roofs, he came back to the United Statesand designed
snow retention devices to accomodate roofing systems used in
North America.
He has had great success with ski resorts such as: Beaver Creek
in Colorado, Sun Peaks in Canada and Grand Targhee Ski Resort
in Alta, Wyoming. Terry's Snow Brackets have been specially
designed with each different roof type in mind. They can be
used on new construction or as retrofit on existing roofs.
His snow brackets have been tested to a fail point by Brigham
Young University's Engineering Department. From these tests,
BYU created special charts to determine the number of brackets
or guards needed per roofing square based upon the roof pitch
and the area's snow load.
TRA-Mage has had great success with their Snow
Brackets and Snow Fences retaining snow on the roof, and
therefore preventing much roof damage to the buildings on which
they are applied. Terry is very much involved with his company,
making sure that all customers get the help they need to know
how many brackets will be sufficient and what layout will successfully
keep the snow and ice from sliding. Through his leadership and
expertise, TRA-Mage will continue to help stop roof damage from
being a costly yearly problem.
